About DWWA

Who we are, what we stand for, and the leadership behind the Defence Wives Welfare Association.

One tricolour, three services, one mission

The Defence Wives Welfare Association brings together the families of the Army, Navy and Air Force under a single, shared commitment — to welfare, empowerment and inclusion. Represented by a tree-of-life emblem in the tricolours of the three services, DWWA's work spans special-needs education support, women's empowerment programmes, and community welfare initiatives that reach well beyond any single service or station.

Under the leadership of President DWWA, Mrs. Mahalakshmi Subramani, the association runs a growing portfolio of programmes — from para-sport engagement for special-needs children to flagship empowerment courses for women stepping into demanding new roles.
