DWWA follows the same tri-service chapter model as the single-service welfare associations — a national body at CDS Headquarters, with a dedicated chapter at every command, each led locally.
President DWWA — CDS Secretariat
Mrs. Mahalakshmi Subramani leads DWWA nationally from the CDS Secretariat / Integrated Defence Staff, setting direction for welfare, inclusion and empowerment programmes across all three services.
DWWA — Andaman & Nicobar Command
Led locally by Mrs. Chand McCarty, the ANC chapter ran a community outreach programme at Ferrargunj in September 2026 — welfare kit distribution, a multi-specialty medical camp, and career outreach for children, as part of ANC's Silver Jubilee year.
